The rescue behind the brand

Fields of Freedom Dog Rescue

Our co-founder Molly Pittman runs a dog rescue on a family farm in Danville, Kentucky. It is where this brand's heart lives, and a big part of why it exists.

What the rescue does

Rescue is just the beginning

Fields of Freedom pulls dogs from high-kill shelters in Kentucky, one of the hardest states in the country to be a shelter dog. They rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the dogs other people scroll past. The seniors. The bonded pairs. The misunderstood.

When one dog is adopted or placed with a foster, the team goes straight back for another.

Molly's story

It started with Larry

At 22, newly arrived in Austin, Texas, Molly went to an adoption event and came back five times before taking home a scruffy dog named Larry. In her words, Larry became her best friend, her anchor, and the quiet force behind everything she has built since.

In 2020 she moved home to Danville, Kentucky, looking for land to start a rescue. The barn on the family farm became the base. The first rescue was a beagle named Alex. Then came kennels, a bigger team, the farm next door, and a growing network of fosters.

"A dog is never just a dog. They are companions, healers, family."

Why a dental brand and a rescue share a founder

The mouths tell the story

Dogs arrive at rescues with their histories written in their teeth.

Most of those dogs were loved. Their people were never shown how easy daily dental care could be, or how much it matters to a dog's comfort and health. That is the gap Longer Together was built to close. No wrestling matches, no guilt. One scoop a day.
